ADM Short Video Award
The Academy of Dental Materials (ADM) is excited to announce the launch of the ADM Short Video Award, a new initiative by the Academy of Dental Materials to promote engaging and insightful communication in the field of dental materials.
We invite student and post-doctoral researchers to creatively present key concepts and principles of dental materials in short, scientifically grounded videos designed to demonstrate their clinical relevance.
Eligibility:
Submission guidelines:
- Eligibility: Student and post-doctoral members in good standing with the ADM only.
- Target audience: Clinicians and technicians interested in dental materials.
- Video length: Maximum of 3 minutes.
- Language: English, including subtitles.
- Format: Videos must be recorded in vertical (portrait) orientation, suitable for social media sharing. Please avoid placing subtitles or essential content too close to the edges of the screen, as these areas may be cropped or obscured on some platforms. English subtitles are required.
- Content: Technical or clinical aspects of dental materials with a solid scientific foundation.
- AI use: This may be used for editing and subtitling, but narration and content creation must be done by the researcher.
- Prize: USD 500 + free registration for the upcoming ADM Annual Meeting.
Evaluation criteria:
Originality, scientific rigor (tiebreaker), clarity of presentation, relevance, and artistic appeal.

Please complete the PDF form, which includes a field for the video download link (participants are responsible for hosting the video), and e-mail it to [email protected].
Finalists may have their videos shown during the ADM 2025 Annual Meeting and featured on the Academy’s social media channels and website. By submitting a video, participants agree to grant the ADM full rights to use and share the submitted material, including video and image rights, for promotional and educational purposes. Participants retain responsibility for the content, ensuring its accuracy, originality, and appropriate use of any third-party materials.
